To identify, develop, encourage and support projects, programs and activities of benefit to the communities in and around Sierra County, New Mexico. Special emphasis will be given to activities that encourage and support sustainable living, healthy lifestyles, and a healthy environment.
* 4th Street Community Garden in cooperation with the city of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, enabling garden plot owners to grow their own organic food, building community, providing education. * Sierra County Farmer's Market, providing a place for local farmer's to sell their organic produce & offering the public fresh, healthy foods for purchase. EBT and WIC welcome. Market runs on Saturdays from Memorial Day Weekend thru Halloween weekend 8:30 to 11:30 am. * Recycling Project, established in cooperation with Sierra County, volunteers and city workers together processing recyclable materials. * Bountiful Babies Project providing education and projects for families with young children. * Friends of The Pool encouraging the use for the pool for health and fun. Classes offered for young and old.
