The Bernalillo County Community Health Council is a coalition-building organization that focuses on bringing people together to improve the health of those who live, learn, work, and play in Bernalillo County. The Council has two main collective impact initiatives: Healthy Here (through Presbyterian Healthcare System and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the Opioid Accountability Initiative.
Healthy Here is a project funded by the CDC that focuses on increasing access to healthy food, encouraging active living, and preventing chronic disease in the International District and South Valley areas of Albuquerque.
The Opioid Accountability Initiative is a collective impact initiative that aims to address the opioid overdose epidemic in New Mexico. The Initiative has four main pillars: Prevention, Treatment, Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice, and Naloxone.
