AARP Foundation's Tax-Aide program provides free Federal and NM tax assistance to low and moderate income taxpayers, with special attention to those 60 and older. AARP Tax-Aide is the nation's largest all-volunteer tax preparation service.
AARP Tax-Aide offers free tax help to low and moderate income taxpayers, available in many communities around New Mexico, from Feb. 1 through April 15. Limited help is available to our clients throughout the year. All AARP Tax-Aide volunteers are certified annually, according to the rules of the Internal Revenue Service and the non-profit AARP Tax-Aide Program. All volunteers are non-paid and sign an agreement that they will not use service to solicit clients or for any personal profit.
Free tax help provided in more than 46 New Mexico locations. Program in New Mexico started in 1968. AARP Tax-Aide received recognition from the Internal Revenue Service for maintaining high quality, with an error rate equal to or better than paid tax preparers.
