About This Role
Food & Water Watch seeks a part-time organizer in Albuquerque to support campaigns protecting food, water, and the climate through volunteer mobilization and grassroots organizing. Remote-friendly; regular presence in Albuquerque required. Contract through March 31, 2027.
Responsibilities include recruiting volunteers and allies; developing campaign strategies and executing tactics including events and direct actions; representing the organization at public events and media interviews; building volunteer leadership capacity through training; and maintaining digital organizing tools including ThruText, Scale to Win, and Mobilize.
Qualifications: Minimum one year of full-time organizing experience or equivalent; demonstrated ability to execute effective organizing strategies; knowledge of New Mexico politics and communities; strong written and verbal communication skills. Spanish language proficiency preferred.
Benefits: 3 weeks vacation, 12 sick days, 5 personal days (prorated to 29-hour week).
