Development Director

About This Role

The Taos Art Museum at Fechin House seeks an experienced Development Director to lead fundraising strategy and donor relations. The museum is housed in the historic home and studio of artist Nicolai Fechin and holds a significant collection of Taos Society of Artists paintings and works by other Taos masters.

The Development Director will be responsible for building and managing a major gifts program, overseeing annual fund campaigns, writing and managing grants, coordinating fundraising events including the museum's annual gala, and cultivating relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors. The role reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the board of directors.

Qualifications: 3+ years of nonprofit development experience, including major gifts solicitation; excellent written communication skills; experience with grant writing; familiarity with arts and culture fundraising preferred. Knowledge of the Taos arts community is a plus.
