About This Role
Western Resource Advocates seeks a Clean Energy Policy Advisor or Senior Policy Advisor based in Santa Fe. The role focuses on developing and advocating for clean energy policies that address climate change across the region.
Responsibilities include developing and advocating for equitable policies in regulatory, legislative, and administrative forums; monitoring state and federal energy policy developments; researching utility proceedings and legislation; preparing expert witness testimony and regulatory comments; and building coalitions with utilities, regulators, legislators, and advocacy partners.
Policy Advisor qualifications: 2+ years relevant experience; background in economics, public policy, or engineering; familiarity with public utility regulation or clean energy; strong analytical and communication skills.
Senior Policy Advisor qualifications: 5+ years experience; extensive knowledge of utility regulation and energy policy; expert witness testimony experience preferred.
